IMPORTANT-READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE IG MARKETS (“IG”) ON-LINE REFER A FRIEND OFFER (HEREAFTER REFERED TO AS THE “OFFER"). BY USING THE OFFER IN ANY MANNER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THEM, AND THAT YOU AGREE TO THEM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, DO NOT USE THE OFFER.
Subject to the requirements set forth below, you will receive credit to your account as a referrer who is participating in the Offer in the amount of SGD 150 for each of your referred friends who starts actively trading with an account opened with IG.
1. Purpose of the Terms:
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between you as an individual and IG with respect to your use of the Offer.
These Terms are in addition to and supplements any written agreements that you or any persons you represent have with IG or any of its affiliates concerning your dealings with IG or any of its affiliates generally.
These Terms and all other agreements that you or any persons you represent have with IG or any of its affiliates together constitute the entire agreement regarding your access to and participation in the Offer, and supersede all previous agreements (written, oral or otherwise) on the matter.
2. Requirements and obligations:
You represent and warrant that you have an existing business or personal relationship with this friend who is 21 years or older and that, in your reasonable opinion, your friend would wish to receive an email from IG. By providing IG with the email address of your friend, you are requesting and authorising IG to send your friend an email on your behalf. You also consent to the use of your name in the email sent to your friend.
The Offer is provided only for your own personal and non-commercial use.
In order for your account to be credited of SGD 150 under the Offer, the following conditions apply:
- at the time of referral, you must have an account open with IG and must still have an account open at the date of the payment.
- referrals must be made through official IG referral channels which are over the phone with our agent or online via the website www.igmarkets.com.sg.
- your account will not be credited for referrals that were made prior to the launch date of the IG Refer a Friend Offer;
- you will not receive this amount if your required contact details are not supplied or are not accurate;
- the person you have referred to IG must not already be a client of IG;
- the person you have referred to IG must not only open an account with IG but must also actively trade with IG. The person you have referred to IG will also need to fill in a coupon stating that you referred him to IG. No amount of money whatsoever will be credited to your account until IG has received the coupon duly filled in by your friend.
All prices are quoted inclusive of VAT. The SGD 150 will be paid to you by crediting your account of this amount.
3. Restrictions:
You agree to not use the Offer to:
- harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users by electronic or other means for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or other unsolicited communications;
- impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent yourself;
- transmit, share or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, solicitations, promotional materials, "spam," "chain letters," or any other form of solicitation;
- transmit, share or otherwise make available any material that contains, explains, or otherwise assists with the creation or spreading of software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
- intimidate or harass a third party;
- act against the business interests or reputation of IG or the Offer;
- otherwise act unlawfully in relationship to IG. or the Offer.
IG reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to exclude you from the Offer if, in its reasonable opinion, IG believes you are acting fraudulently or in bad faith. Examples of such behaviour include, without limitation, where a person refers or purports to refer an existing or previous customer of IG, where the referred friend is a sham. In such event, IG shall be entitled to refuse to apply and/or to recover any credit applied in respect of such persons.
IG reserves the right to withdraw, either temporarily or permanently, the Offer at any time without notice. Should the Offer be discontinued, any in-process referrals will be handled on an individual basis at the sole discretion of IG. IG also reserves the right to deny payment to any person suspected of abusing the program.
4. Privacy:
By registering for the Offer, you agree to IG and its subsidiaries and affiliates (and their respective service providers') collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information you may submit for the purposes of administering the Offer, as set out in these Terms and in our Privacy Notice.
IG will only use your friends' email addresses in conjunction with this 'Refer a Friend' Offer. By entering friends' email addresses you are confirming that you have obtained their consent for this. Please note, we may identify you as the person who has made the recommendation in the email to the friend.
5. Limitation of Liability:
By participating in the Offer, you agree to waive any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and conditions, and release, indemnify and hold harmless IG, and all of its affiliates, subsidiaries, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, costs, expenses, claims, actions, and liability of any kind resulting from or arising from participation in the Offer or acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse of any amount credited to your account in relation to your participation to the Offer
This limitation of liability is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all losses, costs, expenses, and damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, general, direct, indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss or damage to property, and claims of third parties.
6. Indemnity:
You agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless IG and any of its contractors, agents, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, affiliates from all liabilities, claims, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees and expenses, of third parties relating to or arising out of (a) these Terms, or your breach of the warranties, representations, obligations, or other terms of these Terms, (b) falsehoods or misrepresentations of fact by you, (c) your use or misuse of the Offer, (d) any intellectual property or other proprietary right of any person or entity.
7. Force Majeure:
You agree not to hold IG responsible for any cessation, interruption or delay in the operation of the Offer or performance of its obligations hereunder due to earthquake, flood, fire, storm, natural disaster, act of God or the public enemy, war, armed conflict, terrorist action, strike, lockout, boycott, riot, release of hazardous or toxic substances, explosion, accident, or any other causes whether or not of the same class or kind as those specifically above named, which are not within the reasonable control of a party.
8. Severability:
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable or illegal for any reason, such provision shall be deemed to be modified so as to be enforceable to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, and the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
9. Amendments:
You acknowledge and agree that IG, at its sole and absolute discretion, may change, modify, amend, suspend or discontinue any aspect, feature, or the entire Offer at any time without notice and without liability to you or to any third party. IG reserves the right to impose limits on certain features of the Offer at any time, without notice and without liability to you or to any third party. Further, you acknowledge and agree that IG may amend these Terms at any time, at IG’s sole discretion. Any amendment of these Terms will be reflected on IG’s website and is applicable to you and all current users at the time it is posted, who agree to be bound thereby. You are expected to review the Terms posted on the website periodically to obtain notice of any changes. Continued use of the Offer constitutes acceptance of IG’s then-current Terms. Section headings are for convenience only and shall not be considered in the interpretation of these Terms.
10. Non Transferability:
Your right to use the Offer is personal to you and you may not ever sub-license, transfer, sell, or assign this agreement to a third party.
11. Notices:
All notices, demands or requests to IG with respect to these Terms shall be made in writing to:

12. Governing Law:
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of
Singapore and Parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
