Funding Your Account
Please see below for details the methods you can use to deposit funds to, and withdraw funds from, your account.
Anti-money laundering requirements guide the payment mechanisms we can accept, while other parties' processes can affect the time it takes. For our part, we make it as simple and quick as possible to fund your account, and we do not charge for any deposit method.
The payment mechanisms which we can accept - including possible charges from third parties - are outlined below. Note that we do not accept payments through AXS Stations. Please include your IG account number as a payment reference when funding your account.
Please also note that third-party payments and cash payments are prohibited. Finally, for all credit and debit card payments there are minimum payment values of $50 for withdrawals and $150 for deposits, or the equivalent in the currency of your account.

Log into DBS/POSB iBanking, open the 'Payment Services' menu and launch 'Bill Payment'. Select 'IG' from the dropdown menu.
Sending 'Proof of Payment'1 using the feature in 'Payments', in 'My Account' in our platform may make the process quicker
|Standard Chartered Bill Payment||None||Typically the next business day, subject to the bank's cut-off time of 11pm||
Log into Standard Chartered Online Banking, click 'Payments & Transfers' then '3rd Party Funds Transfer/Bills Payment'. Click 'Add a new bill payment payee', then choose IG from the list. Under Bill Account Number, enter your IG account number, and Confirm. Click on 'Pay Another Bill' then 'Pay a bill' alongside IG, and enter the payment details.
Note that a minimum payment of $10 is required, and that Standard Chartered may SMS you security codes throughout the process.

|Cheque||None||2-3 business days for cheque to clear||Deposit a cheque payable to 'IG Asia Pte Ltd' at any Standard Chartered, stating our account number and your IG account number on the back of the cheque, then send us a copy of the front and back of the cheque, along with the banking receipt, if available. You should confirm the time and date the cheque was deposited. Alternatively, post or bring the cheque to our office.|
- We are unable to accept cards where the cardholder is US resident
- Cheques from foreign bank accounts or those deposited without proof sent to us may take up to ten business days to process
- Cashier's Orders are accepted only if debited from our client's bank account
1. The Proof of Payment feature is available after the first initial funding and trade. When funding for the first time, clients need to wait for funds to clear, and need not send us proof of payment unless funding by cheque.
Note that you may incur costs and experience delays if you fund and withdraw in a currency other than the base currency of your account.
To withdraw funds from your account you may:
- Use the secure 'Get a Payment Form' in the 'My Account' tab in the platform under Payments; or
- Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If emailing us, please remember to do so from the email address registered on your IG account, and to confirm your banking details.
Any payment request received by 11am SGT will be processed on the same business day. In Singapore bank transfers normally take around 2 business days before being credited to your bank account.
We return money by bank transfer only.
